Wedding Wear: What I Wore

With a suitcase filled with just clothing for the wedding, how could I not post about what I wore to the different wedding events in Thailand.

The events began with a welcome dinner to which I chose an Asymmetrical Lace BCBGMAXAZRIA dress. My husband actually spotted this while we were shopping in The Dubai Mall and I had to try it on! As soon as it was on I knew that it was the perfect dress for the event.

I wore my Alexander Wang tie-up black heels with diamond, gold and pearl drop earrings, and carried a bamboo bag which goes with everything!

For the mehendi the next afternoon, I wore an old summer dress that has an Indian feel to it. This dress is from Koton, I didn't get any pictures in it but you can view the dress from an old Instagram post here.

That evening was the Sangeet to which I wore a blue tie-dye style saree passed down to me from my husband's late grandmother. This beautiful saree is made of French chiffon and is so light and easy to wear. The fabric is absolutely beautiful.

The blouse for the saree we got made in New Delhi by Ameeran. Check out this boutique if you visit Delhi, the clothing and design is amazing.

The next day was the wedding. The wedding was in a Gurdwara so I wore a suit to be able to sit comfortably.

This golden suit is from Khaadi, it didn't originally come with a dupatta so I had one made from Ameeran to match.

That evening was the reception. I wore an Indian style navy blue gown that I had gotten designed a few years ago for my brother's wedding. With this I had my hair styled at the hotel salon in an updo and wore a bit of gold jewellery.

I love dressing up it was so much fun to dress up in a tropical environment for the wedding.
