Luxury Stay at Raffles Dubai

Every year for our anniversary we try to go on a quick getaway or a staycation. For our 6 year anniversary this year the hubby planned a stay at Raffles Dubai.

You might know Raffles Dubai as the pyramid hotel, it is currently also the number 1 hotel in Dubai as per Trip Advisor so it was at the top of our list of places to stay.

As you enter the hotel the first thing you see is a stunning waterfall, a beautiful lounge and the elegant reception. We were treated to a cup of Arabic coffee as we checked in, and then were escorted to our suite by our check in assistant.

My jaw dropped as we entered the Diplomatic Suite.

We walked into a gorgeous spacious living room leading on to a large balcony with a stunning view of the Burj Khalifa and downtown Dubai skyline.

We then walked into the bedroom - also spacious with a large king size bed, and a view of the swimming pool. The washroom featured a gorgeous bath tub with hanging Arabic lanterns and a walk-in rain forest shower - I mean, wow! I unfortunately didn't get any pictures of the washroom - but believe me when I say it was beautiful.

After settling in, we made our way down to the pool area. Luckily it wasn't too busy and we were able to get nice sun beds in a cabana. The music was the perfect volume playing the latest hits. We jumped into the pool and swam up to the pool bar, ordered drinks and lunch, and spent some time swimming around, having drinks and just relaxing!

After a few hours at the pool, we headed back to the room to get ready for dinner and watch the sunset from our balcony. A clear evening with just a few clouds, we watched the sun go down behind the Dubai skyline, one of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen so far in Dubai .

After the sunset, we got ready and headed to TOMO- a Japanese restaurant on the rooftop of Raffles Dubai, with stunning views of the the city. We ate sushi, drank wine and chatted - it was perfect. After dinner, we headed to the TOMO lounge bar for a few drinks.

Going back to our room, our dedicated butler had decorated our suite with rose petals and left a bottle of champagne and chocolate cake for us to enjoy.

It was the perfect staycation to celebrate 6 years of marriage- romantic and relaxing.
