India Couture Week 2016: Manish Malhotra

This rich collection by Manish Malhotra featured gorgeous deeply coloured silks and stunning nature theme embroidery with flowers and leaves woven on outfits throughout the collection.

The show-stopper was the mesmerising Deepika Padukone who walked the ramp in a gorgeous lehenga featuring an off-shoulder blouse, and an A-line skirt with a long train and tulle hem.

There were a number of different styles seen throughout this collection. Featuring lehengas, sarees,  dresses, and androgynous style suits, this collection covers bridal styles to guest wear.

The main necklines were plunging and off-shoulder; there were a number of sleeve lengths with the main being full sleeve or 1/4 sleeve. The cape style is also seen in a few of the designs.

A stunning collection with the main common elements and trends being tones of grey and red, and the nature themed embroidery. I felt that some of the gowns were a bit inspired by Marchesa - but beautiful none the less. The outfits in this collection would look absolutely stunning on an Autumn/Winter bride.
