Travel Diaries: Gorgeous Budapest

What a stunning city. Though I was only in Budapest for one whole day, I was lucky enough to spend that entire day site seeing and end it relaxing at a bath before heading off to dinner.

While there, we stayed in the stunning Boscolo Hotel in central Budapest. I was wow'd from the second I stepped inside. Think historic architecture, contemporary art, and a touch of the 1920s all mixed together! Their well-know New York Cafe features beautiful ceiling artwork in blues, whites and golds.

AMAZON INDIA FASHION WEEK AUTUMN/WINTER 2016: DAYS 4 & 5 - ASHIMA LEENA, JOY MITRA, SOLTEE

Ashima Leena
Using colours of rust, brown and orange, this collection by Ashima Leena has a 70s style to it. From the prints to the fabrics used, I love the high necklines, collared blouses and bishop and bell sleeves.

AMAZON INDIA FASHION WEEK AUTUMN/WINTER 2016: DAYS 2 & 3 - SAMANT CHAUHAN, NIKASHA & VALLIYAN

Day 2 and 3 of Amazon India Fashion Week featured a number of designers showing men's and women's collections. These 3 collections stood out to me in particular.

Samant Chauhan
Designer Samant Chauhan brought regality to the runway through his stunning collection of dresses. The beautiful embroidery is figure flattering and is done in a way that elongates the body.

Over the next few days I'll be posting my favourite collections from the latest Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2016 catwalk. I hope you enjoy :)

Hemant & Nandita
Yes, just yes. When I first laid my eyes on this collection I immediately thought - 70s socialite. From the 70s inspired prints, to the fur, midi-skirts, and lace-up boots- I want pretty much everything that this collection has to offer.

PARIS FASHION WEEK AUTUMN/WINTER 2016/17: RAHUL MISHRA

Named, 'It Felt Love', Rahul Mishra's latest collection was inspired by the birth of his first daughter last year. Using gorgeous fabrics in blues, blacks, whites and yellows, Mishra created a beautiful and quite wearable collection for next Autumn/Winter.

You can see the Indian touch through the fabrics and drapes, as well as the use of bandhini (Indian dyeing technique). Supported by The Woolmark Company, Mishra also used merino wool and ancient weaving techniques to create this modern collection.

PARIS FASHION WEEK AUTUMN/WINTER 2016/17: MANISH ARORA

The king of quirk, Manish Arora, showed a colourful collection with a Western feel. We're looking at emphasised waistlines and shoulders for Fall 2016, and adding fur accessories and cowboy boots for a fun yet contemporary look.

Manish Arora's collections are always a treat for the eyes, looking forward to seeing what his next Indian fashion collection will look like.

BEST DRESSED: OSCARS 2016

Firstly, let me say Woohoo! Leo won best actor! Finally! I do think there would have been a riot of Titanic and Romeo & Juliet film lovers (could you imagine that!?) if he hadn't. He truly deserved the award.

Now, let's get to the REAL reason why most of us watch these award shows - for the red carpet glamour of course. Even my husband knows that when red carpet season rolls around, the red carpet shows are always on record on TV. In London the red carpet doesn't start till around 10:30pm (way past my bed time - LOL), so I always watch the next day and can't wait for the gorgeous dresses to hit the carpet.

Below are my favourite looks from the Oscars this year, with Rooney Mara being #1 in my opinion.

Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton

Brie Larson in Gucci

Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive and Tiffany & Co. Jewellery

Charleze Theron in Dior Haute Couture and Harry Winston Jewellery

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Couture and Chopard Jewellery
Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell and Lorraine Shwartz Jewellery

Olivia Wilde in Valentino Haute Couture Dress, Neil Lane Jewellery, and Roger Vivier Bag

Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad Dress, Lorraine Schwartz Jewellery, and Rauwolf Clutch

Margot Robbie in Tom Ford Dress, Forevermarket Diamonds Jewellery, and The Row Bag

Rachel McAdams in August Getty Atelier

Rooney Mara in Givenchy Haute Couture Dress and Fred Leighton Jewellery

Sophie Turner in Galvan for Opening Ceremony x Swarovski Dress, Christian Louboutin Shoes

Naomi Watts in Armani Privee

Daisy Ridley in Chanel Haute Couture Dress, Chanel Fine Jewellery, and Christian Louboutin Shoes

Megalyn Echikunwoke in Prabal Gurung Dress, Irene Neuwirth Earrings, and Tamara Mellon Shoes

Olivia Munn in Stella McCartney Dress and Forevermark Diamonds Jewellery
Alicia Vikander and Margot Robbie are favourites as well; and Naomi Watt's dress has grown on me over the past few days - I am loving the colour.
