70s for Fall 2015

One of the hottest trends this Fall and Winter is clothing inspirer by the 70s. I love the high-waisted trousers (so comfortable!) and tan accessories. I'm slowly collecting different pieces for the perfect 70s wardrobe!

With less than 100 days left till Christmas, it's time to start thinking about gifts for family, friends, and of course that oh so fun Secret Santa gift at work that we all love.

I was recently invited to the House of Fraser Pre-Christmas Press Day and it definitely got me in to the Christmas spirit. With festive Christmas trees, gorgeous table settings, and stunning accessories - this event was perfect to get the inspiration flowing.

In terms of Christmas party fashion, floor length dresses are the way to go. Think 1950s old Hollywood glamour with a fur wrap over top, you can see the maxi dress selection here! For work wear a cozy cowl neck over tights with a knit cape over top - casual warm and comfy.

Fall has definitely become my favourite season of the year. From the weather getting cooler, leaves changing colour and, of course, the gorgeous Fall fashion. Stay tuned for more fall fashion coming your way!

An Orange Tulle Lehenga & Off-Shoulder Blouse

There's something about wearing a tulle skirt that is undeniably girly! I fell in love with this skirt when I saw it at Jyoti Chandhok's boutique. It's fun, feminine and can be worn as an Indian or Western outfit! I paired this orange skirt with a black off the shoulder Jyoti Chandhok satin sari blouse and my metallic and black heels.

Travel Diaries: Dubai

Dubai's always been a place I've wanted to visit. I have heard so much about it, and many different opinions. What I can say is that Dubai is completely different from any other place I've been before. It's extremely clean (which a neat freak like me loves!), very new, and so hot! You can find everything there from my much missed Canadian Tim Hortons, to the most amazing Chinese food. The temperature was around 40C during the day, and down to 36C or so in the evening. I love hot weather, so I was in heaven. Take me somewhere with hot weather and a beach nearby, and you won't be able to get me away from the sand and sea.

I don't usually write about weddings, but this wedding is definitely worth a mention! Jewellery designer Noor Fare recently married artist Alexandre Al Khawam in an extravagant Arabian themed wedding in Normandy, France. The best way for me to describe this wedding is to imagine an outfit by Manish Arora being made into a wedding - stunning, vibrant colours, rich jewels and fabrics, gorgeous people all around. This is an Eastern wedding planners's dream and something out of an Arabian fairytale with Indian inspired streets and gorgeous fashion everywhere!

Noor Fares wore Manish Arora to the 1001 Arabian Nights themed wedding pre-party, with a veiled face for a traditional touch. At the wedding she wore a stunning lace Giambattista Valli couture gown.

Isn't this wedding just lovely?

Suede Persuasion

I love suede right now. From the luxurious feel of the fabric, to the 1970s vibe I get from wearing it! And of course the camel colour - my favourite at the moment. I've been looking for a cute two-piece for a while that I can wear on those hot summer days and vacations, as well as mix and match with other clothing items. This outfit from Luxemme ticks all the boxes.  It's comfortable, fun, and just a bit sexy ;).
