Taking on a sports-luxe feel, Rahul Mishra's collection at Amazon India Couture Week 2015 was mainly monochromatic with pops of colour. He fused Western trends into his collection through sheer panelled skirts and tops, and sweatshirt style blouses. I love the inspiration of nature through the embroidery on the pieces, with the most stand-out outfit being the black lehenga with a jacket top and pastel coloured embroidery through out.

I would love to see this collection on the the red-carpet as it is completely trend-setting and would look fabulous on the likes of Kangana Ranaut.

There were more traditional pieces in his collections where he used stunning silks that look light enough to be worn to a summer wedding. I love that these more traditional items have a certain air of simplicity and elegance to them.

After much anticipation, Sabyasachi's collection at Amazon Indian Couture Week 2015 welcomed a darker side of Indian fashion taking inspiration from the pirate life!

This collection amazed me because it was so unique to the well-known Sabyasachi style, yet you can still see that Sabyasachi touch from the embroidery and cuts. This collection took on a more androgynous feel with strong shoulders and oversized jackets giving a Western touch to his designs. I'm also finding inspiration from the 20s and 70s in this collection- the 20s through the hair and makeup, and the 70s from the fringe seen on the capes and a few gowns.

Models wore low slick buns with dark makeup giving a 20s vibe to the show.

This collection also included a collaboration with the amazing Louboutin. I'm not sure why it took so long for these designers to collaborate because their collections are made for each other!

Did you enjoy the show? I definitely have to say my heart fluttered when I saw the black lehenga with the long cape, wow!

Alberta Ferretti

Can I just take a minute to talk about how utterly in love I am with the latest boho trend? The paisley and folk print dresses, Indian inspired silhouettes, and flowing fabrics - I love this style and am so excited that designers are carrying this into 2016.

I've been viewing the Pre S/S 2016 collections on the Vogue website and noticed a bit of a South Asian inspiration in some collections. The main ones being Alberta Ferretti and Naeem Khan. This post shares my favourite looks from these two collections.

Naeem Khan

I'm loving these looks and will be attempting to incorporate these into my every day wear. I've wanted a kaftan for a while- and I think it's about time I invested in a nice one! What will you be wearing over the next year?

Suki Waterhouse with a Grown Out Fringe
Wave hair and part in the middle

Alot of us tend to get the chop or do something drastic when the hot weather comes around. Me? I always think about it, lull over it, talk to everyone around me about it, and then go to the hair dressers to get something major done (like a bob or ombre)- but end up walking out with my same style (my hair is my security!).

So, I've started to look for hair styles that are a change to my usual style- but not too drastic, just enough that it looks different. Here are some of my inspirations (apologies in advance but this is targeted towards those with long hair!):

Lily Aldridge with Graduated Layers
Cut at chin, collarbone and chest giving your hair depth

Kendall Jenner with a Bardot Blowout
Curl with large barrel curling iron, back comb for a retro look

Rihanna with Mermaid Hair

Penelope Cruz with a Chunky Side Fringe and Highlights
Add brown highlights and get a chunky side fringe cut in. Wave hair for a sexy feel.

These are my top 5 for the summer going into autumn. I really like the Penelope Cruz and Lily Aldridge looks- so will probably be getting something similar at my next hair appointment. What are you top hairstyles? Is there hair that you're crushing on currently?
