I love an Indian touch to Western wear which is why this shell top from Missguided screamed my name. Though the model on the site wears it as a dress, I saw it as more of a top - inspired by the salwar kameez. I love the look of it with trousers, and that it can also be worn with shorts for a cute summer style.

Sometimes the delicacy is what creates the beauty. This may be from the delicate fabric that's used, or the amount of work that you can see went into the piece. Below are my picks of the week:

I love the intricacy of the the embroidery on the Monisha Jaisingh blouse - so delicate and so feminine. I gravitate towards these details.

I was recently invited to the House of Fraser Press Day to view the Autumn/Winter 2015 designer collections. I could have spent all day in the showroom just staring at the stunning pieces, from the mixed fabrics to the focused details.

The biggest trends seen at the press day for this upcoming Autumn/Winter are pony hair, fringe and leather touches on accessories and clothing, leopard print bags, and fur scarves. Mixing fabrics is also carried through and can be strongly seen on the different pieces.

There is also quite a few accessories pushing the marsala and black colour combination which make a stunning contrast. My favourite is the oversized floppy hat and the black leather fringe bag.

One of the best accessories to add an instantly chic look is the Riding Hat. The ones featured at the press show incorporated quirky details like cat ears and a fur puff.

The evening wear is just as beautiful with a 20s inspiration behind it. The oversized dresses are embroidered with sequins, beading and silks. And have you notice the heels on the last mannequin below (look like ghungaroo anklets!).

I can't wait for Autumn to come around now; the early dusk, cooler weather, and of course- new wardrobe! I'll be going towards the fur scarves and the marsala and black mix. I also might have to invest in a beaded and sequin kimono style robe for evening wear. Which styles are you gravitating towards?

The Mini-Lehenga

The perfect outfit for a mehendi? I think so. This skirt and blouse by designer Mani Jassal is so cute and luxe. Made from brocade and cotton, I feel this mini-lehenga look is so hot right now and super on trend.

(Add a soft net black dupatta to this and it would make a stunning lehenga!)

Colours are made to be worn in the summer, and these pieces are perfect!

You know when you see a design label and you JUST KNOW that there is a special unique quality to the designs? That's exactly how I felt after seeing the stunning creations by Sant Lafleur by Sonu and Puneet.

These Indo-Canadian sisters grew up spending their summers in India working at their aunt's (and mentor's) boutique. Not just creatively smart, but also business smart, both sisters hold degrees in Business Commerce and through using both their creative eye and business acumen created the design label Sant Lafleur.

Just like their designs, Sonu and Puneet joined together their Indian and Western roots to create the brand name; Sant Nagar (India) is where the designers were born, and Lafleur (Canada) is the name of the street they grew up on in Canada - unique or what?!

Using what they've learnt, this 'self-taught' design duo are making their mark on the Canadian fashion scene with their unique and memorable designs.

Made for 'the style conscious heroin who exudes the confidence to step out of the box but still appreciates tradition, comfort and quality', the designers aim to make their clients feel beautiful. They see the design process as a journey from choosing the right fit and style for each customer, through to the creation process, the result is making the woman feel the best they can possibly feel.

I love that their designs are boldly coloured and so very feminine. The embroidered trousers are drop dead gorgeous and many of their pieces are versatile enough to be worn as separates.

This week my eyes spotted a gorgeous sharara with a shorter top (what a cute combination!), a sky blue saree with fur trim (can you say sexy?!), and a stunning bridal look perfect for the traditional bride who wants something a bit modern.

One of my favourite things to do is host parties. Whether that be a small get together with close friends, or a large party to welcome the summer - I love to have my friends and family around and bring out yummy drinks and food. Below are a few of my tips to hosting the perfect Indian summer party:

1. Fresh colourful flowers in metallic vases - India is known for colour so show it in the details. A few gorgeous colourful bouquets adds brightness, fun and that Indian touch from the bronze and/or gold metallic vases.

2. Colourful silk cushions - This fabric immediately makes you think of the East- so add a few colourful cushions on the chairs, or scattered on blankets around your garden.

3. Wine glasses/tumblers with gold metallic detailing - Elegant and simple. Easy to do yourself too with a bit of gold paint!

4. Gold fairy lights - Wrap around trees in your garden or along your fence - adds a great mood going into the evening.

5. Great wine/beer/whisky or my personal favourite- margarita mix! - A must!

By far my favourite summer cocktail is the margarita, especially when made with the Mr & Mrs T Margarita Mix which you can buy here. Seriously try it if you haven't!

I can't wait for my next get together and would love to learn more about what inspires you! Comment below and let me know :).

Victorian Shade: A Victorian Inspired Indian Gown

This gown/anarkali by The Little Black Bow was just asking to be worn. Made with a gorgeous high slit, I love the cream pencil trousers and the peplum waistline. The brand's collection screams Victorian era and the embroidery can be compared to Dolce & Gabbana's most recent collection.

These new designers make me want to pull out my credit cards and spend, spend, spend! How stunning are the colours, prints and embroideries?

I could actually stare at these designs all day! Such creativeness is too much to handle!

Can we just take a minute to talk about the accessories brand Jalouze?

Founded in 2013, Jalouze is an upcoming accessories brand bringing together fantasy and elegance. Their designs are feminine, strong and distinctly Indian. I've fallen in love with the uniqueness and attention to detail that goes into each piece.

Jalouze's designs have a very distinct look and I love that you can distinguish their bags from other designs in the crowd. Wear with Indian wear, or style it with jeans for a trend-setting look.

Hope you love them as much as I do! You can shop their stunning items here.

A Brocade Blouse and Leather Skirt

I love mixing fabrics and when I saw this blouse by Canadian designer Mani Jassal, I knew that it would look amazing styled with a Western twist.
