Always living up to his name, Manish Malhotra presented a stunning collection featuring large floral prints and gorgeous thread work. The colour of the year - coral, is used strongly through out the collection teamed with neutral beige and white creating a classic combination. We're also seeing sheer fabrics and high necklines. This gorgeous collection screams soft femininity.
The clean aesthetic with sheer soft fabrics creates a feminine and natural look. Tie-dye is slowly coming back in trend and definitely something to keep an eye on for the coming year.
Quirk Box
We've had our eyes on this brand for quite some time now and it's great to see them storm the runway with their quirky pieces. Printed in bright colours, these items can be made more wearable by pairing with neutrals.
With a unique sense of design, Nitya Arora has created this stunning jewellery collection featuring necklaces, earrings and brooches. Inspired by nature, the pieces add a fashion forward touch to the outfits. Be on the look out for unique leaf like jewellery.
Sougat Paul
Sougat Paul showed an understated yet edgy collection of prints and earthy tones mixed with leather. I love the mixed prints and sari drapes.
Vaishali S
Minimalistic, clean and easy to wear are the best words to describe this collection. I love the simplicity of these designs and the ready to wear appeal. I can definitely see myself wearing these pieces through the summer!
Tarun Tahiliani
Master couturier Tarun Tahiliani created a collection that fell a little flat for me this season. Though it is sophisticated and elegant, it's missing the wow factor.
What do you think? Which collections wow'd you at Day 1 of Lakme Fashion Week?
