As always, Payal Singhal's collection never ceases to impress through the gorgeous prints and workmanship. We are loving the ikat inspired prints and the peek-a-boo style sheer skirts. We love that her designs are wearable and so very luxurious at the same time.
A primarily monochromatic collection, Sailex showed clean pieces with a bit of a zing. Using the same tone of embroidery as the clothing thus accentuating the elegance of the piece, he also incorporated the hi-low trend and the the popular capelet in to his designs.
I have fallen in love with the prints at the Aartivijay Gupta show. Taking inspiration from the Italian paintings of the 1400s and 1500s, the gorgeous vibrant colours stand out on the beautiful fabrics.
Blue is my favourite colour so it's no surprise that I'm in love with pretty much every piece in this collection. Along with the colour, the collection shows items that are delicate and feminine yet strong. From shift dresses, to peplum skirt suits - these pieces are must have for your wardrobe.
Mandira Bedi has blown me away with her vibrant collection of saris. Every piece is wearable and absolutely stunning. Her collection screams elegance and youth, and I love the age range of models as well!
Jade by Monica and Karishma
You can always tell when the item is a Jade piece through the cut, style and work. Using neutrals and coral as the main colours in the collection, the designers have brought a fusion of the West to create stunning gowns and lehengas. These items will definitely be worn by brides for engagements and receptions.
MAWI & Gaurav Gupta
One of the most anticipated shows was by British (Indian born) jewellery designer MAWI, along with fashion designer Gaurav Gupta. MAWI showcased edgy pieces with a fusion touch. I can see the Indian touches in these items that would look great worn with either Indian or Western clothing. Gaurav Gupta created pieces in his signature futuristic and sexy style incorporating v-necklines and figure accentuating styles.
