Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2014: Day 1

Tarun Tahiliani

Tarun Tahiliani is know for his traditional designs and embroidery. This year, though, he brought a modern edge to his pieces. Using different drapes with stunning silks and gorgeous embroidery, he's made a beautiful collection mixing tradition with trendy edge.

Anupamaa by Anupama Dayal

The Anupamaa collection always stands out in regards to the colour and cut. This year she's created a collection that looks like it's made for a bride's trousseau. We are seeing bright colours along with complimentary and contrasting colours, and floral designs through prints and embroidery.

Kiran Uttam Ghosh

Note. I love this collection.

Clean lines, gorgeous drapes, and metallics are the strongest elements seen on the runway. There's a futuristic element to these designs through the metallic jackets.

Shantanu & Nikhil

A very lady-like collection, the designer duo used pale pinks, whites, creams and dark reds. We love the peplum tops with lehengas and pre-stitched saris, raw silks, and thread work embroidery.

Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014: Day 5

Payal Khandwala

Stunning silks are used in the collection to create saris, blouses, dresses and trousers. The pieces are worn in unique ways and made to look modern when styled with button down tops.

Shyamal & Bhumika

A gorgeous bridal collection primarily made using neutrals and golds, we also see coral and mint - two strong colours for 2014. The pieces are stunning and made for the bride who wants something a little bit different. The embroidery is in a floral pattern, and net is strongly used throughout.

Debashri Samanta

Love the prints, fabrics and colours used in this collection. Now THIS, is summer/resort wear, don't you think?

Rajesh Pratap Singh

A trendy collection using pastels and layering of sheer fabrics, the designer created wearable styles in a young and fashion forward way. Love seeing shows like this on the Indian runways.
