If you haven't yet heard about Mallika Sherawat taking a stand for India and speaking out against the crimes that are taking place against women, then where have you been hiding? We love her passion and the fact that there is a Bollywood celebrity taking a strong stance in the media for this. We believe that if more Bollywood celebrities were to follow in her foot steps the issue would be handled a lot quicker.
Below is the original video when she was first confronted by the journalist.
Do you agree with how she has handled this? What are your thoughts on Bollywood and how they have responded to this issue in the media?
Christmas is by far one of our favourite times of the year, there's so much love and happiness all around and we love the time we spend with our families. In anticipation we wanted to share with you our favourite recipe for Mulled Wine! It's the perfect treat and is great for a party or a warm treat after a day out shopping (or working!).
1 Bottle of your favourite light Red Wine - we recommend a Pinot Noir
2 Cinnamon Sticks 10 Cloves
2 Star Anise
2 Lemons - Quarter them, squeeze in and leave the peel in
2 Oranges - Quarter them, squeeze in and leave the peel in
1 Tbsp Sugar (can add to taste)
1. Get out a large sauce pan, put on high heat and add 1/4 of the wine, juice of the lemon and orange (keep the peels), cinnamon, cloves, star anise and sugar.
2. Stir until syrupy.
3. Add the rest of the wine, throw in the citrus peels and the nutmeg.
4. Stir, turn the heat off, and let it cool until it reaches room temperature.
VOILA! You've got some amazing Mulled Wine! Yum yum yum!
Psssstt… Want to hear a secret? Put the mulled wine in the slow cooker on 'keep warm' so that it stays warmer longer - great idea for parties!
