Using a warm fire palette, Archana Kochhar designed a strong collection using various shades of orange, red and brown.
What really stands out to me in this collection is the fusion style items (especially the red knee-length skirt).
Shyamal & Bhumika
A beautiful collection with shararas under anarakalis, full umbrella style skirts and a bit of a subdued colour scheme, you can tell that there is quite a bit of attention to detail put into these pieces. Love the intricate borders on the saris.
Sabyasachi
Taking inspiration from the 1940s (and a bit from the 50s), Sabyasachi created a stunning collection using heavy embroidery, synched in waists, and a mermaid style skirt. These outfits have a strong western touch to them with wrap style blouses, and trousers with a long jacket and dupatta. I especially love the the long fitted tops with full skirts that give the effect of a mermaid silhouette.
