India Bridal Fashion Week 2013, Day 4: Ashima & Leena and Rohit Bal

Day 4 of India Bridal Fashion Week included two collections that took inspiration from history. Ashima & Leena presented a collection with dusky and matte colours; Rohit Bal showcased a collection full of rich colours and fabrics.

Ashima & Leena

Named 'Delhi ka Dastaan', this collection took inspiration from the Mughal times. By using rich fabrics with dusky colours, the designer duo were able to catch the element of tradition by using a subdued colour scheme, a-line skirts, and simple makeup and hair.

Rohit Bal

'The Mulmul Masquerade' collection by Rohit Bal is a stunning showcase of items inspired by the 1600s. Using high necklines, tightened corsets, umbrella cut skirts, and intricate embroidery, this collection really showcases the opulence of India and richness in fabric and colours. Not to mention how amazing showstopper Sonam Kapoor looks!
