Delhi Couture Week, Day 1: Anju Modi & Sabyasachi

The first day of Delhi Couture Week was absolutely beautiful. Both designers presenting their collections did an impeccable job showing their signature styles that always stands out from the rest.

Anju Modi

Always a fan of Anju Modi, the cuts, colours and prints in this collection have a bit of a bohemian eclectic vibe to them. The designer has defined the shoulders in many of the pieces, as well as worked with layers and gota work to create a fresh and young collection.

Models walked down the runway decked out in gold from head to toe. Made for the extravagant bride, there is extreme attention to detail in all of the pieces which can be seen through the amount of work that has gone into each item. His signature style of the traditional bride is seen through the high necklines and long sleeves; can always tell a Sabyasachi bride from others!

A perfectly tied turban with the back of the fabric hanging over the shoulder makes all the difference, don't you think?
