Trendy and fashion forward, this collection broke away from the others we've seen so far with the use of gorgeous colours and varying cuts. From the peplum tops paired with contrasting A- line and umbrella cut skirts to create a modern take on bridal fashion, to the naked arms which have been hidden away by sleeves in most collections for the past few years- we’re seeing a difference with this collection when compared to the rest. Many of the items aren't overly embroidered, and the pieces which are, are paired with a simpler complimenting items which calm the outfit down – for example a heavily embroidered skit with an un-embroidered blouse. It would, however, have been nice to see something a bit different than a peplum top as these have been around for a few years now and, if anything, holds the modernity of the collection back.
Meera & Muzaffar Ali
A traditional collection with a modern twist, Meera &
Muzaffar Ali present a beautiful fashion show using neutral tones paired with gold
embroidery. Named ‘Pearl of the Orient’, the inspiration can be seen through
the large V-necklines, mandarin collars, palazzo pant suits, and the use of
silk jackets through-out the collection. The items exude a mature elegance with
a hint sexiness. Made to accentuate the curves, the pieces are created with fitted
blouses and umbrella cut skirts – amazing bridal attire!
