Louis Vuitton's Diwali

Am loving this! Louis Vuitton will be incorporating the Indian holiday of Diwali into their store's holiday windows worldwide starting November 5.

Diwali (also known as the Festival of Lights) is celebrated in Hinduism, Sikhism, and Jainism and signifies the victory of good over evil. Some Indian businesses begin the financial year on the first day of Diwali wishing for goodluck the following year.

In order to create beautiful window displays, Vuitton is working with Indian designer Rajeev Sethi. These windows will showcase hand-painted paper trunks glowing from within. Special items will include limited edition dresses made of vintage sari fabrics. Oooohh I want one!

Ferretti Style

By far one of my favourite collections from Milan fashion week for the Fall/Winter 2010-11 season is by Alberta Ferretti. Models walked out in gorgeous cocktail and evening dresses that I couldn’t take my eyes off of! The trend? Elegant dresses worn just above the knee or to the floor; rich chain trimmings and sheer fabrics are strongly used with an emphasis on the arms; neutral colours were used throughout this entire collection. Below are a few pictures from the show!

Tahiliani Exposition

Tarun Tahiliani, a bit overdone but amazing none the less! I just checked out his new 'Haute Couture' bridal collection, and it is beautiful. But, still not sure if I would wear it as a bride since he is the most overly worn designer in Bollywood! Want something different, na? What do you think?
